What is the time commitment?
AdvisoryCloud makes sharing your ideas on a portfolio of boards easy, exciting and rewarding. We have some professionals on 3 boards and others on 10+, but almost everyone is on several boards as it expands your reach and benefits.
Every month you’ll receive a Board Member Update from each of your advisory boards. It will appear in your Messages & Notifications section of your AdvisoryCloud account. From here, you can easily share an idea, answer a survey or simply read the update. It is recommended you answer at least one question a month for each of the boards you are on, which only takes a matter of minutes. There are also ways to get more involved as well, such as board meetings, which are announced in the Board Member Update each month if it works for your schedule.
In addition to this, you may get messages from your AdvisoryCloud profile. This is someone who found your profile and is interested in connecting with you for a specific type of professional opportunity. These messages will also appear in your Messages & Notifications section of your AdvisoryCloud account.
Every month you’ll get an email from us sharing how many new messages you have, although you can log in any time you like. Plus, we’ll email you once a month recommendations for publishing thought leadership, exclusive online workshops to get exposure for your professional brand, and a review of new open advisory boards you may want to consider joining (all of this will also be in your AdvisoryCloud account as well).
Your time commitment can be as little or as much as you like - some advisors spend only 15-minutes a month sharing a quick idea for each of the boards they are on, others on our VIP Plan have a quarterly call with AdvisoryCloud and in 1-hour get up to date on all their boards, share their ideas, and review their messages.

Can I make money from advisory work?
Yes. This is normally achieved through your Advisor Rate, which is one of the things you will establish when creating your Advisor Profile, and is when a company engages you to help with a specific project.
By being guaranteed to be able to join advisory boards when you join AdvisoryCloud (which are not compensated), it presents one way for you to showcase your knowledge in a valuable way.
